It’s a great day for golf any day of the week at the Craig Golf Course! New amenities and a friendly staff are just two of the attractions that combine with our new irrigation system and other improvements making the grounds and play better than ever.

Located in Central Alabama, just east of Selma off Highway 80, is the site of the former Craig Air Force Base. Gone are the planes and officers, but in its place a thriving business park and a revamped 9-hole, 18-tee course that’s open to the public and available year round for play. Originally designed in 1955 for visiting Air Force brass, Craig Golf Course features all the extras today’s golfers expect from a course.

Whether you play 9 or 18, Craig is perfect for golfers of all skill levels. For the beginners, the course is low pressure, allowing time for trial and error, while for the weekend duffer, it’s an inexpensive alternative to high-priced courses. For the pro, Craig Golf Course is a test of terrain, distance and accuracy.

For those with only time for 9 holes, Craig offers 3,188 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 36. To change the course dynamics for those wanting to play a full 18, the course uses separate tees and offers 6382 yards for a par of 72. The course features Bermuda-type grass on the greens and fairways and is dotted with bunkers, water hazards and trees. In fact, water hazards come into play on 5 of the 9 holes. A fun course to play, the perception of Craig Golf Course is usually misleading.
